This probably sounds like a trivial and kind of silly subject, but I'm going on a road trip to North Florida the last week of October and coming home the second week of November. I'll be driving through Shreveport, Jackson, Montgomery and then head south to Palm Coast FL. I'm a die hard shorts kind of guy. I wear them in Northern California from about March through November. Is it warm enough to do so in late October and early November in the Deep South? Would I look out of place if I did? I of course will be packing some jeans, hoodies and such too. Thanks.

The first freeze of the year is usually within 1 week of Nov 15. Before and after that date temperatures can be pretty pleasant. If the sun shines, it is warm.
The rain feels colder than it is, though, because of the humidity.

Late October through November is the most beautiful time of the year in Mississippi.

In Jackson, on October 24 the average daily high is 75 degrees (low 51) and by November 10 it falls to 69 degrees (low 46). You'll need jeans and a hoodie for late evenings and early mornings. Peak fall colors in central Mississippi are in early to mid-November.

How gorgeous to have those mild days near 70 degrees and yet be able to step outside late at night into 50 degree temps, like being in Colorado. This is what keeps me going during the late summer heat...fall is right around the corner.

By Thanksgiving in late November, the average daily high is about 63 degrees and by Christmas a beautiful 56 degrees.
