Moving to MS
I have a job opprotunity in Cleveland, MS. Moving from Lansing, Michigan.
Can anyone tell me a little about the city and where is a good city if not Cleveland, to bring up a family that is near?

Cleveland is in the Delta, and one of the few towns in the Delta to still be thriving. I have no personal knowledge of the area, but some on here have said the schools in the delta are not as good as other schools in the state.

Unfortunately, I've never lived on the Delta. My mother grew up in Rolling Fork but that was forty years ago. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable can help you...

It's been 30 years since I was in Cleveland and I passed through recently...how charming! Certainly different from the little town where I went to college.
I can't tell you much about it other than there seemed to be a lot of neat shops...and to compliment you on the Lansing/East Lansing area. My son attended law school at MSU and I have to say Michigan was so beautiful and green and everything was so well kept...I hope you enjoy Mississippi as much as my son enjoyed Michigan - except for the snow, he was glad to get back to the South.

I'm not a very good source for info about Cleveland, except to say that Delta State University is located there. It has a good art Dept. My sister got an Master's in Art Education there and enjoyed her time there. Because of the University, there are cultural opportunities there also.

All I know about Cleveland MS is that you can't get there from here...and the famous movie star, Morgan Freeman, is from there. He likes Cleveland per and interview I saw.
