Default Hotels near the Square in Oxford, MS.

I will be going to Oxford for Double Decker this year and I was wondering what are my options for getting a place to stay that's nearest to the square as possible. I don't want to have to drive or park anywhere that day.

Money isn't unlimited, but I'm willing to shell out a little more for this event than a normal hotel stay.

Thanks!

(I'm from Mississippi and will be driving 3 hours to get there).

Bonoman, many options available. My advise is to start early and lock in a place. Glad you like DD. Uhhm , walking distance for hotels? there are only really 2 within reasonable walking distance. I know a lot about options, but the best way to use the forum would be for you to contact the oxford chamber and ask for the closest place......and enjoy. I would like to talk after your visit. Please, get an early reservation.

Visit the link here: Oxford (Mississippi - Wikitravel) for hotel advice. There are some B&Bs, the Downtown Inn (comparable to a Hampton Inn), and the Ole Miss Motel (an old motor inn that is short on luxury and long on charm and value) with a 1-3 block distance. The Inn at Ole Miss is a 15-20 minute walk away (a very nice walk) and is pretty nice. The Days Inn is also about a mile away and a very pretty walk once you cross the highway. It is safe to walk anywhere in Oxford at anytime of night.
