Default Mennonite Cemetery near Lumberton, MS



This very small cemetery is near Hillsdale Road outside of Lumberton, MS. The sign says "Yoder Mennonite Cemetery". Does anyone have any information to share about this location? Our interest is purely historical information about the site. Thank you for any information.

Those Mennonite people lived in this area when I was a child ( I'm 65 Now)
I do not know where they moved to. There were several Mennonite
families here then.

Default Mennonite Cemetery

I'd be interested in sharing any information I have on the Yoder family with any you may receive regarding that cemetery. I wasn't aware that there was a Mennonite cemetery in Lumberton. I have quite a few Yoder ancestors, as well as cousins, etc. (mostly in PA, where I was born). I know there are Yoders that belong to an Old Order Mennonite group living in Tylertown, MS, but I think they moved there from the State of Indiana.

One Yoder 1st cousin in PA was compiling Yoder cemetery records and was active in the Yoder House or House of Yoder in northern Maryland. I don't remember what town it's located in (Frostburg, Hancock??).

I'm hoping to move to Poplarville within the next 6 months and plan to check out that cemetery. Do you have any names and/or dates from the headstones?
