I am in the southern part of the county, and about 1 mile from Black Creek, which has some absolutely gorgeous areas. I love it.

Olive Branch is close enough to Memphis to enjoy the city's offerings, but distant enough to still enjoy the slower pace. That's the perspective of someone who lived in Memphis 1987-95, and loves to go back. Went back on Thursday to see/hear Celtic Woman and dine at Paulette's. Wow! The FedEx Forum is some venue!

DeSoto Forest certainly makes it a woodsy and pretty area. Deer hunters heaven.

Yes, I was going to say that Olive Branch is more of a suburban setting than a small town setting, IMO.
I'm in Oxford. It's an absolutely lovely place, despite the highest housing costs in the state.

*sigh* deer hunters. A necessity, I know, but so many of them lately are very disrespectful of private property, and treat their dogs atrociously.

You are right about the dogs. Some hunters train and treat their dogs very well, but many treat them terribly. I have a chocolate Lab who is like family (a big couch potato like me) and there is no way I would tolerate someone abusing their dogs. I'd report them before I got back to the house.

Dogs ARE family! Cudos to you for being a caring and responsible friend to your Lab. I have a mixed dog, still not sure what kind of mix he is, sometimes he looks like part border collie, sometimes part husky, sometimes something else, just a random mix, but the kids and I love him.

Wow, talk about wild. I grew up in Greeneville, TN (I'm sure you know where this is in relation to Telford). I also lived in Jonesborough, TN before I went to Ole Miss. Still live in Oxford, but hoping to return to East TN next year. Also, my big brother in my fraternity was from Laurel.
