Hello,

I have might get a job at the stennis space station in MS. Currently, I live in Colorado. What are some good areas to live? How is the cost of living? What are some good schools? It would be my wife and son, who would be making the move with me.

On the MS side (Stennis is right on the state line), Pass Christian and Long Beach have high rated schools. We live in a 'Jones home' sub-division and I think they are running about $160k for a 3-4 bedroom. Don't know about the other areas that people commute from.

We would need more info as to what you would expect as to budget, shopping, lifestyle, and so on. Make a wish list and see if someone knows of the best place for you. The Slidell side might have more choice when it comes to stores and restaurants, but there is the whole work in one state and live in another aspect. On the MS side, it's more rural/suburban with the closest chain mall being about 30 minutes away (I'm not counting Diamondhead as a major shopping area, but it's another possibility - unsure about the schools).
