Look next door in Benton County (Hickory Flat-Ashland). Potts Camp is a nice rural area, but too close to Holly Springs IMO. I just personally don't care for Marshall County. I live in SW Alabama near where you're from, but I have been to north MS many times.

I was in Potts Camp last May looking at a place to rent. Nice area, quiet, although I can't really tell you much about it. Close enough to Holly Springs for shopping, but still very rural. Be aware, however, of the new Toyota plant coming into Tupelo, I believe, the property taxes are bound to rise sooner rather than later.
