I quite like it here. It's a small town, but close enough to bigger cities that it doesn't feel too out of touch or isolated. It's a quick drive to Desoto county or into Memphis.
I don't think the uniform thing applies to students anymore. At least, the high school and junior high students don't wear them.
The schools are rated level 5, among the top 10% in the state. A pretty decent graduation rate. And there's a community college (Northwest) in town.
There are a couple of lakes close by (Arkabutla and Sardis) to spend the weekend at.
But yeah, a dry county. Boooooo.
