2. Do they have an opthalmologist/optometrist?

4. Is there a cultural influence that is prominent? (How so?)
5. What is the #1 health care issue of this community?
Thanks so much!

Barbara,
I was raised (lived in Hurley for 14 years) in Hurley and i'll try to help. I only go back periodically to visit my family and it's been about 3 years since my last visit. So take that in to account. Hurley is a small town but appears to be growing.
1. I'm not sure what urgi-care is, could you elaborate?
2. Unless one moved into the area in the last 3 years, no. However there is a new facility in the middle of the town that may house such an operation.
3. I'm not aware of any environmental issues there. There are no factories, just farms. Hurley residents pretty much work in Pascagoula, Mobile, Biloxi, Gautier, Gulfport, Ocean Springs, and other nearby cities/towns. There are not many businesses in Hurley, although they now have 2 grocery stores.
4. Cultural influence-it is predominantly white. All the African American (less than 30) that I went to school with lived outside of Hurley but attended the school in Hurley (East Central). But I graduated in 1993. From my visits, it doesn't look like the number has increased. As for other ethnic groups, less than 1% combined.
5. #1 Healthcare issue-I couldn't tell you.
This probably wasn't alot of help. If I remember, the next time I talk to my father I will ask him.
