We have a house in Ridgeland, MS that the listing is expiring soon. The current realtor doesn't seem to be doing much that we are aware of to market or show the house. The house is empty so can't be certain how much they are in there, but rarely if ever see their vehicle there. The current 6 month contract is about to expire I think, signed around 2/1/2017. If we intend to list with a different agent, do we need to notify the current agent and if so what is the time frame to do that?

I've had realtors work wonders in the last month of a contract, so don't count them out. I'd give them at least 30 days notice. If you have a new realtor, he/she can better advise you. The housing market in Ridgeland is not hot right now unless it is a lower priced home. Even houses in Madison proper are in a slow down. Gluckstadt houses are moving in about 60 days.
