Default Bay St. Louis

I am retired. I have been considering a move to the Gulf Coast since before Katrina. I am presently looking into Bay St. Louis. Does any know the status of the recover there. Have FEMA trailers been placed there? Has the population grown since Katrina?

I love this website. It is so helpful.

I've driven through BSL in March and in September. Recovery is coming along (better than NO, in fact), but the area has a long way to go, since it was at Ground Zero. Yes, there are FEMAvilles there. Couldn't tell you about the population growth, but I think the city will bounce back. And it doesn't hurt that Hancock/Pearl River Counties are within easy interstate access of NO, and as such have seen suburban growth.

Hi, I am from Bay St. Louis, MS and have just moved my FEMA trailer from a FEMA Park Site onto my property. Yes, there are many FEMA tralers available in Bay St. Louis area. Things are shaping up much better, faster now. We just got a new casino, Silver Slipper. Lots of building going on everywhere. K-Mart just opened up and many more restaurants and gas stations. I hope you will contact me. I am in FL now but go back and forth to MS every other month. Namaste.

Biloxi and Gulfport are doing better as long as you keep north of the tracks,
pretty much everything on 90 is gone... Sad!
Some condos and few houses are being built on 90.
Casinos are open, but some are now land based and smaller. - treasure bay.
Bay St. Louis got the crap beat out of it, old town is gone.
