He tried and it failed. The the only thing he has left in Greenwood is Serio's. Viking is still there and Fred put in this deal that they can't move it out of Greenwood for at least 10 yrs i was told. Milwaukee tool is a great business and has grown a lot over the past 5 years.

I've heard good things about Milwaukee Tool. The area has plenty of available, unskilled, inexpensive labor, hopefully they can bring in more manufacturing.

Well, that is, if people don't completely pull out of the school system because of the all-knowing federal government.

Are you around that area? Curious as to how people are taking it.

Similar to Starkville I guess. Just when people were starting to have confidence in the public school system, they consolidated all of Oktibbeha County. But both towns have universities that will keep the economies good for the most part.

Cleveland has Delta State but that's a small university compared to Miss State. People aren't taking it well as you might guess. I'm sure the parents that can will send their kids to private school and the ones that will either stay or leave. Time will tell. I lived around the Greenwood and Cleveland area until literally last week.
