I have recently moved to Byhalia, MS with my husband and we are looking for an African American, medium sized, Baptist Church to visit and possibly join. If anyone knows of any churches in the Byhalia, Holly Springs, or Olive Branch area (not looking to travel more than 30 minutes), it would be greatly appreciated.

If you don't mind driving into Tennessee, I would highly recommend New Growth in Christ Christian Center (it's non-denominational). I don't think it's more than 30 minutes from Byhalia. It's in the Hacks Cross/Shelby Drive area. You can check out the service on TV on Sunday mornings at 8:30am - I forget which channel. They also have a website - www.ngic.org

If you are still looking for a church, I think I know one that may be good for you. Let me know if you are still looking and I will pm you the details.
