Special Education Program in Desoto County (Olive Branch, Hernando: school district, to live, moving to)

My husband and I are looking into moving to the Olive Branch/Hernando area due to job re-location. I have a 6-year who has Asperger's, a form of high-functioning autism, and I was wondering how the special education system is in the school district? I have heard good things about the schools, but nothing directly related to this aspect. Any information would be appreciated...thanks!

I am an Exceptional Education Teacher, and I would search for those schools that have someone who has knowledge of, and experience with teaching your child. All Public Schools are to provide your child with an appropriate education, however, look to where you want to live and then scope out those schools/teachers who will best meet the needs of your child. Visit as often as possible, then take your child. Think in terms of his/her IEP and then decide. Let me say too, that the school you choose must meet the needs of your child where ever they are.
