Lightbulb Watermelon Festival, anyone know the date?
where and when exactly is the watermelon festival. my wife and i may want to join in. good pictures will give us somewhere to go when we get to kosciusko

There is a watermelon festival in Water Valley and in Mize, but I'm not sure of the dates. They have the Natchez Trace Festival in Kosciusko the last Saturday in April.

Go to google and do a search for "mississippi watermelon festival". The link titled "National Watermelon Promotion Board: Festivals" took me to 2007's calendar, but it should give you a good idea of where and what approximate time frame the festivals occur. There is also an email link on the page, perhaps they could give you updated information.
