The factory is still under construction. I would imagine that major hiring will not take place for awhile. Probably a lot of construction work at the moment. I dont know who will be doing the "screening" for work at the factory. Considering the number of people the plant will hire there should be releases to the local and regional media. Where to go and what to do. I stopped in and looked around some. It's just a skeleton of a building at the moment. None of the support infrastructure is even in place yet.

If construction goes like their other plants, around July or August of 2008 they will have their "closing in ceremony", where the final wall is being put up. Once the building is sealed major indoor work is done.

I have seen ads in the local Tupelo and Fulton newspapers for several management positions....they are hiring MA and BA positions right now, once hired you go to Illinois (I think) for training and then come back to work here once construction is done.

Hmm looks promising for my fiance, i suppose he could apply for a graduate job (if they're hiring that type of person)
Where would they list vacancies?
Thanks

Due to the economy, the opening of the Toyota plant has been delayed indefinitely. They will finish the building construction but not move in any machinery. No one knows at this time when they may actually start producing vehicles.

The Toyota plant is up " FOR SALE " if they find a buyer,Toyota is not opening in MS.
If it opens it will open in 2011 just in time for re-elections as it did when they announced in 2007,it's ALL about politics and re-election of State and local officials.
I had a job at Toyota but I was told that it might not open-I am on a "at call " basis at this time but if someone
