Gulf Park Estates "What beach like at end of Lk Mars Ave?"
I've come to appreciate Gulf Pk Estates from afar (MI), and have purchased a hm "sight unseen" over a year ago in the Pt Aux Chenes area, east of Beach Blvd. There is only so much I can get from satillite pictures, etc.
Please describe the pier, walkability, view, etc from the pier eastward. Can one "walk a mile" eastwardly along the beach? Can one acess the beach at end of Seagull or Sandpiper? Is the gulf fairly visable from Seacliff Blvd?
Pls provide as much detail as possible. I will definetly move there some day, but don't have any immediate plans to visit.
Your replies are sicerely appreciated.

I live in GPE but on the northeast end, on Marina. I'm pretty sure there's no beach access in Gulf Park Estates. I think it's all marsh back there. But then again, I've lived here ten years and never ventured down Lake Mars so I could be wrong. Pointe Aux Chenes is a nice area on the east side of Beachview though. It's a pretty street to drive down. The area down around Seacliffe and Sandpiper was hit hard by Katrina. I haven't really gone down there since because it was depressing to see it after the storm. I can do a driveby in the next day or so to look for answers to your questions. Let me know if there's anything else you'd like checked out.

Please verify beach prior reply
Thank you for responding. Your further assistance is requested. At the SOUTH (gulf) end of Lake Mars Ave. is there a beach? And can you then walk a bit (westardly) towards Boloxi? I'm panicking cause the prospect of a beach there is the main reason I purchased! I agree that the land area north of Pointe Aux Chenes would be marshland (adjoining Boloxi Bay). I look forward to your commentary.

At the end of Lake Mars Ave( I think) is a brand new fishing pier, very nice. However, there is not much beach in that area..A very small sandy beach but I don't think its a swimming area type beach. Going west from the pier you will run into East Beach and Front Beach, but these are in the city of Ocean Springs.

Sorry it took me so long, but I finally took some pictures for you. It actually is nicer than I had anticipated, but there's no "beach" and the only walking you can do without hiking boots is down the pier or back up the road. Here are some pics for you to take a look at: Lake Mars Pier (broken link)
Hope this is helpful.
