I was born in Pascagoula, have family in Moss Point, and grew up in Hurley. If I had to move down to that area again, i'd go Ocean Springs. Pascagoula is depressing. I'm sad everytime I drive through. Its just not an attractive area. .

Default Pascagoula Is a wonderful Place to Live

I moved here from California right before Katrina and fell in love with the place. There are alot of apartments for rent here on Eden Street. It is a very nice low crime area. The town is actually about 5 minutes long lol. What I mean by that is you can drive across the town in 5 minutes. The people here are wonderful and friendly and I wouldnt want to live anywhere else. If you need more information please let me know I would be glad to give you any information I can

Smile Pascagoula ;)

I have been living in Pascagoula for 25 years. It has beautiful weather. There isn't any more gang/crime here than ay other city. Now, Moss Point on the other hand, LOTS of gang involvement. Not a good idea. But, Pascagoula is a beautiful little town with very friendly people.

Default I know it's late, but...

if anybody else is getting tranferred there and reads the thread, I would NOT live in Pascagoula. We were stationed there in 2004-2006. Luckily we took someone's advice and lived in Ocean Springs. The commute was short and easy to P'goula, and the schools are awesome. None of my husband's coworkers liked Pascagoula. Just my opinion though...

Bad-bad-bad.

I live in Lucedale. I used to work in Pascagoula and I've been there several other times for different reasons, and let me tell ya:

It's a dump.
I've called it the butthole of Mississippi.
Not a good place to live at all.

I'd take some of these people's advice and reside somewhere else that's kinda close.

Red face It's about you.

[SIZE=2]I was born and raised here in Pascagoula and it's Home. My kids attend school here, my wife is a forth grade teacher here. I've been employed at one of the local shipyards here for 20 yrs... I paid two houses off just bought a third one to rent out, all right here in good ole-Pascagoula. I've learned it's about your attitude... because where ever you go, there will always be something you don't like and believe me; there are something's I wish I could change about my home town (PASCAGOULA) but I'll just start with me and my family. Now, you're welcome to come and make Pascagoula your home too.

No OFFENCE: STAY AWAY!!!!! We live here in Lucedale which is about 40 miles north of Pascagula, the only things good here is the shipyard. But then again I wouldn't exactly call that good. They do get PAID more than pretty much everybody else and it is pretty hard to get into. Jobs are limited unless you have family or you KNOW people. We have been here since January and the BEST we could do was pizza delivery and Government ran house cleaning. 6.00 hryly for the pizza and 7.00 for the home cleaning. This place is a DEAD END. MUCH OFFENCE to the people that already live here and say its Great!! We live in the CAPITAL of OBESITY and the CAPITAL of Drug Makin (METH) and the capital of Poverty. Ok the capital stuff is hearsay I'm just blowing off steam about this place. So far everything that I have heard has been BAD! CHECK Out statistics But seriously...STAY AWAY!! We are moving soon as we get enough money saved!!!
