Default Neighborboods/Pleasant Hill SChool District

We are relocating to Olive Branch and think we like the Pleasant Hill school the best...what neighborhoods are nice around pleasant hill/church area.. We have looked online but it is hard to get a feel. Anyone know anything about Robinson Crossing or Arbors of Wedgewood? Any tips would be great. Also, any Olive Branch info would be great!

Robinson Crossing is right down the street from me (I live in the Belle Pointe subdivision of Southaven). It's very nice. They have a web site but I am having difficulty finding the exact address. A Google search on "Robinson Crossing" and "Olive Branch" brings up a lot of info on the annexation of this neighborhood by OB and a ton of listings. Moderator cut: edit I've toured a few of his houses and they are extremely nice. My cousin-in-law and he used to work together on the Southaven police force.

I think that the RC subdivision would be in the Desoto Central school district for elementary schools. I know it is for middle and high school. The daughter of the cousin-in-law mentioned above just finished kindergarten at Desoto Central Elementary.

Arbors of Wedgewood is also a very nice subdivsion. We drive through there looking at houses and getting ideas for landscaping. Any neighborhood in this area (Pleasant Hill/Church Road area) will be great. Just pick one that has homes in your price range.

nacker - Robinson Crossing is a subdivision with mostly new construction. There are currently (6/26/08) 22 homes on the MLS with 20 being new construction. It is right on the line of school districts. If you are definately set on Pleasant Hill, the safest thing would be to call the school district.

Arbors of Wedgewood has been there a little longer. There are 13 homes currently (6/26/08) on the MLS with 6 being new construction. It is a very nice area. In that same area are Wedgewood and Wedgewood Farms.

Other neighborhoods in the Pleasant Hill School District are: Chickasaw Heights, Pleasant Ridge Estates, Windstone, Deerfield, South Manor Estates, Southbranch, Ivy Trails, Goodman Oaks, Autumn Point, Cherokee Meadows, Cherokee Ridge, and Crumpler Place.

Hope this helps!

Smile Pleasanthill area

Hi! I live 1/2 mile from Pleasant Hill Elementary. My daughter has attended for 3 years. Our neighborhood is Windstone and I absolutely love it here. The neighborhood is mostly new construction, has 2 lakes with walking tracks, 2 swimming pools, lots of nice families, and lots of kids. The homes are beautiful inside and out. All of them have sidewalks, porches and gas lanterns that have to remain lit ( you are allowed to convert to electric). It is especially pretty at night. Some have described it as a Norman Rockwell neighborhood, and I have heard others say it is like Mayberry MFD. There is an HOA that keeps things in order, which keeps our property values steady.

Anyway, the school is great. And the best part about Windstone is that, although we are so close, the bus stops right at your door front.

As I said, we love the neighborhood - check it out.

Default MShome info....?

We have been looking for a home in the Pleasant Hill school district and posted about a couple of neighborhoods. We are really wanting a "upscale" feel of a neighborhood. Upgrades inside the homes, and overall neighborhood feel. We have traveled to OB several times and are leaning towards Robinson Crossing but wanted to get an insider's opinion. Most of the homes seem to be a little out of our price range but there are a few that I think we could afford..... we think it is worth it. What do you think? It is hard to truly get a "real" picture of a town without living there....
thanks for your help.

With all new construction subdivisions it takes a while for it to become a neighborhood. Our house was the 2nd house built in this part of Belle Pointe. It was almost two years before we had neighbors. It's been a little over 6 years and it's just starting to feel like a neighborhood. Most of the families are a little closer to each other since they all have kids of similar ages.

Drive about 1/2 mile west of RC and turn north into Belle Pointe. There are numerous houses for sale if you want to jump into a little more established neighborhood.

nacker - As the poster Robert_J mentioned, Belle Pointe is a very nice neighborhood. There are some new construction homes still being built, but most of the homes in Belle Pointe are resale. Robinson Crossing is all new and the various builders are building with upgrades as the market demands for that price range. This area experienced explosive growth in previous years and there were a large number of builders in a rush to build to meet increasing demand. With the housing market cooled a bit, you are likely to find a nice deal on a new construction home. I would think that your agent could provide you with important market information about pricing and possible builder incentives.

Thumbs up Arbors of Wedgewood

My husband and I bought a home in Arbors of Wedgewood at the first of the year. We personally also looked at other homes in the Pleasant Hill School District. The Subdivision was just cleaner looking overall. It is a very quiet neighborhood. I would recommend the neighborhood to anyone. Most homes are less than 2 years old. There are some new construction towards the back of the subdivision.

Default Pleasant Hill

Pleasant Hill is a wonderful school. I was actually doing a search to see if they were going to build a middle school and came across this website. My girls went there for 2 years, but one is in middle school so we changed schools. I was just putting them to bed and they were saying how much they missed it. Great teachers, great parents. You feel comfortable walking in for any reason. There are lots of nice areas to live in and the houses are priced really low right now. I am a realtor and have sold houses in all the areas mentioned. It just depends on what you are looking for. Big yards, small yards, type of house, price range, etc.

Default Considering Arbors of Wedgewood

My family and I are relocating to the area and considering the Arbors of Wedgewood for our home. Can you tell me what home builders build in that neighborhood?
