Need INFO (Columbus, Starkville: homes, school, university)

my husband and I may be relocating to columbus Mississippi from Tn..Any info you can give me on it would be great..thanks

I don't know much, but I saw you didn't have may responses. I think the University for Women is near there. I know Columbus is near Starkville, the hometown of the Mississippi State University. That means there should be decent music, food, and cultural offerings in Starkville, at least. Columbus, from what I remember, had a lot of beautiful old old homes with stately front porches and oak trees out front. The area of the state is rather rural and pretty far from bigger cities.

does anyone else have any more info on columbus and Starkville...We are going down tehre on the 28 so we can look around and check out stuff he is also gong for an interview...I am still in school so I will be finishing up my degree..
