We will be on the east side of the storm, which is generall the worse side.
I hate to wish people harm as well, but I surely want it to keep moving the opposite way. I just think of all the friends I have who have rebuilt. And now they are in harms way again.

Is the storm predicted to go near Pass Christian, MS ? A girl that works for my agency lives there and she lost everything in Katrina. Her house insurance gave her pratically nothing back. She has been living in a rented furnished apt.
A girl from our New Jersey office was supposed to visit her this weekend, but I assumed that was postphoned.

The networks all seem to be only focusing on New Orleans. As large as the storm is, I think there will be plenty of damage on the Mississippi Coast. I hope people don't get complacent about it because of all the focus being on New Orleans. I haven't seen a single news report from Biloxi or Gulfport.

aunt bee, where do you get your news and weather on tv from? Local I mean?
Have you seen any rain bands yet? I see Jackson has some rotating storms already...seems like things could get dicy for the middle and west side of the state.

I get all of the Jackson Channels. I'm watching Fox News this morning because they have a guy in Waveland and he has been on a lot this morning. I'm north of Jackson, so I don't think we'll get much except maybe a little rain. It's just very cloudy here now.

My prayers are with ya'all. I'm praying it spares you there. Some of the Evacuee's from NOLA made it here to a Church shelter. Some won't be returning and one already obtained a job in nursing.
