Question Best Mobile Phone Company for North Mississippi ????

Hi! My husband and I will be moving to the Tupelo area and we are trying to find out which mobile phone company has the best coverage and is the most reliable. I am not asking for advertising I just want to try and find out which one is used the most and is hopefully the most reliable for their service of coverage area. Thank you so much
Graywolfpath.

My husband and I just moved to Tupelo (actually to Guntown) and we have Cingular and we get service everywhere here. I am not sure about other services though.

I do believe cingular has the most towers. They were bought out by AT&T by the way.

You should look into Cellular South. They have a single price plan that you can talk to anybody, anywhere in the US when called from their footprint (Which is basically all of Mississippi, some of Ala and Fla on the coast, and around Memphis). There are no minute limits to this plan, you don't have to worry about who else is on it like that Cingular plan, and you also get up to 750 minutes per month if you call from outside their footprint at no extra charge. I have it and wouldn't change (I'm in Jackson). It's $59.95 per month plus taxes for one phone. You can add a second phone to the plan (I did for my #3 son) for half price ($29.95). I also added unlimited text messaging to HIS phone for about $7 per month. My bill for the two phones is $112.22 every month and NEVER CHANGES. My other son and his wife (Jackson) are on this plan. My single son in Columbus has the one-user plan. My neice in Booneville 30 miles north of Tupelo is on this plan with her son also.

I think Cingular is best around Tupelo-and I say that as a CellSouth customer. CellularSouth has put up new towers in the area, but there are still some weak areas and outright holes in coverage when you are traveling on the Trace or in the towns North of Tupelo.
