The only people surprised by blacks discriminating against whites are the ones that have never lived in Mississippi before. It's just the way it is.

The delta is a hole, and I would be scared to spend a night in Greenville. Jackson is just as bad or worse. Even though Mississippi is my home state, I can't think why anyone would move there. Maybe Tupelo, but even that isn't great. Olive Branch is about the only desirable place I can think of.

That's funny, my brother lives there and he complains about it all the time. He visits family in the Memphis and outer lying areas regularly when he wants to get away.

What a horrible experience for you! I hope you were able to assist the police with a good description so that the thug can be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law!

Still, I gotta say - I think my anger would be directed at the low-life who did this and not the entire town of Greenville...and I'm sure the upstanding citizens of Greenville would feel the same way.

Greenville, MS sounds scary. You should move to Greeneville, TN; it's a beautiful town of about 15,000 and has virtually no crime to speak of. It does get a little cold in the winter; the high tomorrow is 37 with snow, but that's always pretty.

As much as I hate to agree with your brief description of Greenville, you are on target. I grew up there and moved to Jackson MS in 1987. I find it diffcult to return to visit relatives. It's slow but, sure decline is heartbreaking.

YOU are correct, the black community is more rascist than any white. Moderator cut: unnecessary As far as touching someone, I do not blame anyone for not wanting to touch an individual. In MS is it common for black women to carry money in their under garments. In this day of communicable diseases, it best to stay on the safe side.
