Default Is Greenwood a good place to live in?

Is Greenwood a good place to live in?

There's a good paying job there, but I don't know if I'd like to live there if there no good food or shopping or something to do there. Maybe for good shopping malls you have to go to Memphis which is 130 miles / 2 hours away?

If you lived there tell me about it!

The Delta is deficient in many areas, but food isn't one of them. Greenwood has some great places to eat. The shopping thing is another story. You're probably going to be heading to Memphis or Jackson on the weekend.

What's really depressing is that it seems there's no near airport where I can get a flight to Chicago to visit Mom. No AA or Southwest flights nearby.

ASU55RR is on a distinguished road
I'm not a fan of Mississippi in general, but Greenwood is about as nice as the delta gets. Depending on what you consider "close", Jackson has Southwest flights to Midway; nearest commercial airport to Greenwood is Greenville, but thats just Northwest small plane service to Memphis.
