One way up north in Mississippi and one in Southern Mississippi. Which are you referring to?

Petal MS. 150,000 will get you a 3bedroom 2bath brick home and they have the best schools, close to hattiesburg, nice park, small town but only 5min. from the city..........but that is just me.
if I had no kids and wanted to be close to the water then gulfport or waveland.

SouthernBliss.. I would also choose Waveland area.. something about it across the bay from Gulfport and Biloxi that make it less touristy.

I am from Tupelo but moved away 15 years ago. My advise to you is move away from Mississippi. There are wonderful place to live all over the west and midwest. Do not get left behind in Mississippi. I visit but will never return to live. Once you leave there its like your whole world comes alive and you can see what you have been missing.... Good luck.

Wouldn't you be in a high risk area due to hurricanes? I'd hate to live in fear of my house being destroyed and having to claim insurance.
