I lived my first 45 years in Chicago..we moved to Ms about 15 years ago. All the other replies are true..the shopping, the weather, the slower pace of living and it takes some time to get used to. As far as the cpmment about gangs there are everywhere. We lived in Oxford which is a beautiful place and yet they had the teachers at the high school alerted with a list of gang symbols to watch for.
We are down further than Jackson now but we prefer small town atmosphere.
I would think that you need to come down and visit and drive around and go to some locals places but dont be surprised when they call you "yankee"..

Yes we have Heritage Properties and Park Management in Jackson. They service a lot of apartment communities around the city of Jackson. The management company that handles the complex I live in is Ledic Management. I stay at Clinton, MS city limits.
