I don't know what you're used to, but whatever it is , you're in for a bit of culture shock. Good luck.

Just don't use the term "township", most people will look at you strange. It's simply "town", that's it.
Also, many parts of the delta are majority black, so if you're coming from a majority white area of Ohio you will be in for a shock.

What are the crime rates in the counties/cities in the Delta, do you happen to have any information on that?
My main concern will probably be burglary and automobile theft since I can ill-afford having to deal with either such situation and I cannot babysit my belongings and my car at all hours.
If somebody tries to rob me or attack me face-to-face I can simply shoot them.
Thanks.

Look through the city stats for the towns I listed in my last post and any towns nearby. Compare those to the stats for towns you know, and you'll have a general idea of what to look forward to.

Thanks, I checked over some cities, very scary stuff. Three to five times the crime rate that I'm used to.

I'd like to have a town/village comparable in demographics and structure to my present city. I'm in a city of about 50,000 people and it is presently 97% White. I don't like the number of people, as I feel 50,000 is about 30,000-40,000 too many. I've lived in a number of small cities and small towns, the present one and then briefly in a town of about 12,000 people that was 95% White. I'd like to find something similar.
What's the Whitest city in the Delta area, between 5,000 and 15,000 people?
As far as structure I'd like at least several gun stores within a 10-15 mile radius, and it would be nice if there was somewhere for me to get fresh salmon on a regular basis. I don't care if it's a dry county as I don't drink and don't plan to. It'd be an added plus if there is somewhere within 10-20 miles for mixed martial arts and/or grappling/ground-fighting training so I can train and/or spar whenever I have the time and desire.
Finally, a low population density is a major plus.
Is there such a place in the Delta?

OhioUberAlles,
Where is this job at? It would be easier to help you if you gave a specific location?
And also, why the delta?

Something tells me you're looking for something that you're not going to find in the Delta. You are going to be moving into a region with a mostly uneducated, impoverished black population- even if you live in a more affluent or rural setting, you are going to be closely interacting with these people on a daily basis. They do have a sense of pride in who they are. If you come across as having a hostile attitude, it will be reflected from the blacks AND whites you deal with. Regardless of what you may have heard about the delta, there is an unwritten protocol on the way blacks and whites interact. If you're that worried about getting robbed, get a mean dog.
