Not sure exactly where the job will be. It'll be a teaching job at a private school. The people who finance/organize the schools have a number of locations in mind, they're going to try to find one that has an opening in an area that I am qualified to teach. I'm not sure where it will ultimately be.

When Blacks post about wanting to know information regarding which areas of a city have the most Blacks and the best community life for their people, nobody calls them names or slanders them about it.

Why is there a problem with my wanting to have a similar community life to what I have now?

I have never seen a black on this forum ask which areas of Mississippi have the most blacks, I want to live there.
Most Blacks who move into Mississippi want to live in racially diverse areas where they will feel comfortable.
Usually they ask about being accepted in an area. You didn't do that.
When someone asks about an area like that Delta which has a huge black population yet they want to live in the part that's 97% white "the whitest part".
When someone talks about crime and how they aren't worried about face to face crime because they will just shoot the person.
They want to be within 10-15 miles of gun stores and martial arts training. Yeah I think they have some racial issues.
If you can only be happy in a community that is 97% white, gun stores and martial arts training within a few miles,
allows you to shoot citizens you confront and perceive as a threat, I don't think you would enjoy the Delta very much Sir.
It certainly is a poor attitude to move into a new state that you know absolutely nothing about with.

Mississippi is approximately 40% Black, it's a given that there are many Blacks there. I have seen posts in the New Jersey forum, Georgia forum, Kentucky forum, Indiana forum, etc, where people post, "I'm Black and I am moving to state X, area Y, which part of this city has the largest Black community?"

Asking which part of Mississippi has lots of Blacks would be like asking which part of Lake Erie has water.

iM CURIOUS ABOUT THIS UNWRIITEN PROTOCOL BETWEEN BLACKS AND WHITES YOU REFER TO. WHAT DO YOU MEAN?

I think you are using robbed/burglarized interchangeably. Which is not correct. Robbery entails a confrontation between the perpetrator and the victim.

I am not worried about burglary as insurance will cover that.

I am worried about being confronted and robbed. A dog would only help stop a burglary, not a robbery (since I am not going to haul a dog with me everywhere I go). If somebody tries to rob me I just shoot them. If they try to burglarize me, options are limited since presumably it happens when I am not home.

I'm not really worried about stuff, although it would stink to lose property and have to go about getting it replaced. I am more worried about my personal/physical safety and being in a shoot-out.

Even though I wouldn't move there, does anyone have pictures of this region. I have always been curious what this part of the USA looks like.

No one mentioned your behavior was criminal. Your Strawman arguments are useless here.

3- I have no problem with the idea of shooting somebody who tries to rob me. Is this a crime?

It depends. The DA will determine if it is a crime after you shoot someone. I am not a lawyer.

4- I want to live around people primarily like myself. Is this a crime?

Once again you resort to strawman arguments. I didn't say it was a crime. You will not find a town in Mississippi where 97% of the people are like YOU.

I notice you didn't raise any issue about my asking about fresh salmon. Is fresh salmon okay with you or do you have some problem with that?

See answer to #2 and #4. Are you sure you are a teacher?

...I ask about the things that matter to me. I don't get a darn about "night life" or "the bar scene" so I don't ask about any such thing. I ask about gun stores, fresh fish, and martial arts. If you've got a problem with that then don't respond. If you're just going to nag and tear into me than don't even post in the thread. This is a thread I started to have some questions answered. If you're not here to answer questions and post in a constructive manner then I suggest you get out of this thread.
If I don't leave the thread will you put me in an arm bar or choke me out?
Perhaps shoot me?
You really need to get out more. You need to meet people who are not exactly like you. You will learn so much. I've learned so much from you.
I'm never moving to Ohio

It's been my experience that the people who talk about being worried about robberies or shootouts are the ones most likely to initiate a shootout. I've lived here 20 years and still don't have a gun in the house - don't need one. If someone comes in the house ewv4en while I am here they ain't coming in looking for me, they are coming in looking for stuff... stuff I can replace. It sucks to be violated (I have had stuff taken) but that feeling is nowhere near the feeling I would get from killing someone. I'm hopefully going to live a long life and I really don't want to carry that memory around with me the next 30 years or more... stuff just ain't worth it.

Just saying... all these talks about what's here and what's that place like... it's always been my experience that what a place is liek depends in large part on what YOU bring to it. If someone tels me how they hated this place they lived because "everyone" was rude or against them or whatever, that tells me as much about the person telling the story as it tells about the place they are describing.

Look, I lived in LA. I lived over near the Silverlake area near the top of a hill. If you've ever been to LA (or Detroit, or Chicago or pretty much any major city) you'll know the temperment of a neighborhood can change in just a block or two - this side of the street is golden, that side is owned by gangs or whatever. I sometimes heard gunfire down the street from me - about three blocks away at the bottom of the hill. Not even then did I ever worry about being "in a shootout" simply because the odds are so freakishly low against that sort of thing UNLESS you're the type who walks around with a chip on his shoulder. The odds of being "in a shootout" are far lower than the odds of being hit by lightning... but if you walk around carrying a lightning rod, you can't blame the weather when you get struck.
