looking for land tilte (taxes, law, clear title)

bought tax fortied lands from the state of mississippi from the sec of state.,filled patten at local chancery court,now looking for the title. state and a mississippi lawer says we have 3 yr redemption period before we can file for a free and clear title .cant not find a gov or state web site to get any info on the land ,they all wount to charge for it.tryed local county web sites no luck.does any one know of a site were we can go to find info on land such as, fomer owner, liens ,title owner,thats free ,also can we get around the 3 yr waitng period. read the mississippi code which says if after 25 yrs you can pay the taxes for the past ten yrs and get a free title is this true?thank you

State law gives the land owner 3 years to pay back the taxes, which is exactly what happens in most cases. The land owner would pay the county the taxes owed plus interest, and the county would refund your money plus interest.
