Favorite/Least Favorite Thing about Mississippi.
What is your favorite/least favorite thing about Mississippi?
So I will start off.
Favorite: Good food
Least Favorite: Lack of diversity.

Good
Cheap to live i.e housing
Weather, nice hot summers and milder winters
Lots of space
Good hunting
Good food
Bad
No cosmopolitan cities/towns
Alot of poverty
Racial gaps in some places
Lack of diversity

Lack of different ethnicities in Mississippi? Isn't Mississippi the least white of all the Southern states? Warren County is now officially a "minority-majority" county as whites have slipped below 50% of the population, many counties in Mississippi have been that way for years.

I'm not from MS. I spent part of last summer there, Hattiesburg, Jackson, Natchez, Brookhaven.
Favorite: the people were great and, at least in the hospitality industry, the diversity was very good.

Being poor is OK because most everyone else is poor too!
Bad
My school, the University of Mississippi hasn't won the SEC in 45 years.
The Mississippi Gulf Coast is not good for swimming like say, Florida.
Mississippi is poor and backward. Lack of jobs and opportunities.
Parts of the Delta resembles Africa.
Jackson is a "small Memphis" with lots of crime, poverty and crappy government.
