That would be great. It is looking as if we maybe getting close anyway. I wonder why his grandfather's name is not showing up. Hmmm, this is so confusing. Do you know if the Rose Hill cemetery is very large. I wouldn't want to ask you to spend hours looking for markers. You are helping us out enough as is. I am going to pass this info on to my sister and see if she can come up with any more info to help us.

Can you get the name of the church that is close to this cemetery. Surely they would have kept some records. A name and phone number would be great. My sister could call and check the list with them.

You are so kind, it is so nice to know there are people left in this world that will help strangers out like you have. I hope someday we can return the favor.

I used the website to list the surname Long buried in all counties in Mississippi and there were no results for Andrew Curtis Long or any other variation.

The site is www.findagrave.com

Let me know about the Rose Hill listing. I hope that is the one that gives you a successful end to your search.

Jamie

Rose Hill Cemetery is not very large, there are about 400 people buried there, but it wont take long to walk through and look. There is no church beside the cemetery though.

Ok, thanks for all your help. I hope this is what she is looking for also. We would like to make a trip there when the weather has cooled off.

We have only been to MS one time and just fell in love with the area. The people there are so friendly and the country side was just beautiful. We ate some of the best fried green tomatoes there. I can understand why Danny would want to rest there.

God Bless you and yours.
