My South
I got this from a friend this morning, had seen it before, so I looked it up. Great story, please read the whole thing. There is nothing, NOTHING in Mississippi to be ashamed of. What has happened in the past, is in the past, can't change it, can't modify it, and better not to deny it but deal with it and move on. As a Native Mississippian, I wish nothing less than the best of everything for my State, my home.
Ya'll have a great day, now, ya heah?

"SPOTLIGHT ON ROBERT ST. JOHN"
I haven't met Robert St. John in person, but from what I know of him so far--I think I like him a lot! Renee Decker from Bastrop, La. forwarded me the following essay. I liked it so much, I decided to verify its authenticity and share it with you. I expected that to be easier said than done, but I was wrong.
"My South"
Thirty years ago I visited my first cousin in Virginia. While hanging out with his friends, the discussion turned to popular movies of the day. When I offered my two-cents on the authenticity and social relevance of the movie "Billy Jack", one of the boys asked, in all seriousness; "Do you guys have movie theaters down there?" To which I replied, "Yep, and we wear shoes, too."

Pretty hard to do, NWS, if it's on google! I wouldn't worry much, though, with all the negative thoughts about MS, I seriously doubt any yankees would come down anyway, to stay.

After 42 years I left that NYC cesspool. No regrets yet.
