Default Lightning safety urged during the month of July
4 people have been killed since Friday by lightning---5 since July 1st and 16 since June 1st.

This is the peak month for lightning deaths, with a average of 17 deaths.


Total of 20 deaths from lightning, this year. vs a total of 28 deaths in all of 2008.

Wow that is amazing, the size of that lightning bolt. I never go out in a thunderstorm i try and avoid it even when they're nothing here compared to what you get in MS.

I'm scared of lightening so you rarely find me outside during a thunderstorm...scared of thunder too lol
