Default Summer humidity in Tupleo

I see that the temps in the summer in Tupelo can get pretty high. On July 19, 2006 it was 104 degrees. Humidity ranged from 25% to 82% that day.

So are the summers pretty humid there, normally? Feels like you're in an oven?

I see you are listed as living in Sarasota. Well, it's not as humid here as it is there, but we don't have the cooling sea breezes. It does get hot and humid here in the summer, but it does in Iowa, too! It doesn't bother me too much, I just wear cool, baggy clothing and don't get in a hurry when I am outside. Also, it's amazing what a good shade tree does to beat the heat!

Talking At LEAST We Have FOUR Seasons!

Chimpie:
JetJockey75 forgot to mention to you that while you DO have sea breezes, (more on the Atlantic side of Florida than where you are on the Gulf. I LIVED in Fla for over 22 yrs!) one thing you'd notice different about Tupelo is the [i]change of seasons, which you have virtually NONE of in SW Florida!!! I lived over in St. Lucie County, and I do NOT miss it! Mississippi has 4 hot months, June/July/August/September, with August being the obvious WORST! I WILL agree that the big oak trees here cut the temp down at LEAST 20F! If you're looking at Tupelo, remember that it's in NE Miss'ippi, and SNOW is NOT uncommon!!! Something you wouldn't see in Sarasota, except MAYBE ever 100 yrs or so?!! Best of luck to you in your moving decisions! http://www.visitmississippi.org/ Try that website to order a Visitor's Guide. It will give you a good overview of the Magnolia State! YEE-HAW!!! LOL!
