Absolutely agree with garman. My information sounded just the same, minus a couple details actually, so I'm hangin in there waiting for good news! Hopefully a call between july and early August, for a physical, and starting round September. Good luck to everybody! I wish you all the very best!

I have a question, and im not sure if anybody has touched base on it or not. Why is it that Toyota employees are "sworn to secrecy" so to speak, at the subject of pay rate. Dont take me wrong, Im not asking for anyone to outright tell dollar figures or anything, i just keep noticing that when the topic arises in conversation amoung those already hired...they get quiet and usually say, we cant discuss pay...

Somewhere online I saw that the Mississippi plant pay starts at $15.00 a hour with a yearly increase of $1.00 to cap at $21.00 for production team member. Team leaders start at a dollar more. Maintenance is several dollars higher and management is salaried (yearly pay rate with little to no overtime paid for them). The weeks that are night shifts pay an additional $0.50 an hour. Expect 1-2 hours overtime daily with occasional Saturday when in PEAK production. This is lower than other plants that are union but many of those jobs are contract jobs that are only guaranteed for 2 years. It is comparable with Nissan at the Jackson MS plant.

Thank you. This is the only thing that my source wont thoroughly discuss with me. He only told his orientation pay for the first 2 weeks, and it was close to your numbers. He is team leader in quality controll. His 3rd and 4th weeks were VERY MUCH DIFFERENT, if you get what i mean, and thats all he will say..." hang in there, its worth it!" Thats all I get. Lol
