Question for all...they told us all it's gonna be a swing shift during our day 1 experience (2 weeks days 2 weeks nights) I've read on here people saying there not going to hire a 2nd shift till jan or so. Is this true? Heres my time line by the way ....on line app oct , day 1 dec, day 2 march, interview april 26...now waiting and getting more discouraged week by week and month by month..

The way I understand it, in training, you start at 7am and train for 8 hours with optional over-time. I guess the ones who have been training for several months will start 1st shift production in October. The rest of us that are just now going into training will most likely start production in January when the 2nd shift kicks in. Not facts, just what I've heard.

Hello everyone,
I noticed most people are staying positive as for the ones that are not .....well I have nothing to say. Any hoooo ,, the first day of work was great alot of paperwork, powerpoints and information to retain, well to collect. Their were 83 people in our group today that started . The toyota reps said they only had 35 people in assembly that were not team leaders hired before today. They said there are many more people that will be hired before production starts in a couple months. People be patient, and prayerful your day will come. We also got confirmation that their are people being walked out. Why? because they are coming to work LATE!!!!. They said they have zero tolerance for attendance, basically if you can't add up the time it will take for you to get to work now you wont do it when production starts. They said you can rack up 4 occurances in 1 day by being late coming back from lunch, breaks and etc. This will get you walked out. So far so good, this is going to be a great company to work for. Im so grateful and blessed to have been chosen out of the many people who applied. By the way there are people there who applied 2 years ago...go figure. Well I will stay in touch gotta get some sleep, not only did I start work today I also started school..

Thanks nomadslove for the info..between what you wrote and what 2fathfull wrote it sounds like they are still gonna be hiring a bunch, so that's good to know. I live in indiana and if I get lucky enough to get that call someday soon I'm gonna have to find an apartment before I can move the wife and kids down, so does anyone know if theres any schools districts to stay away from? I have grade school twins and just wondering where to look if that day comes.

New Albany Schools are Level 5 and pure awesome! My nine year old goes there and I've had no complaints.
