Up north. I was making the southern "top dollar" working in a plant in Michigan at 18. It's pathetic how little companies regard a worker's time and well being down there in the deep south. When I was looking for work a couple years ago, I had a couple offers down south. One in Georgia, and one in Florida. The joker in Georgia told me he only employs convicts and people who have run out of unemployment benefits, but he would "give me a chance" . The guy in Florida wanted me to fly down, interview, shake his hand if I got the job, AND apply for the job though a temp agency ... Once again

I love the south, but I see the plantation lifestyle is still just as prevalent it seems. I've got plenty of sweat equity and work ethic to trade, and the north still offers the best and fairest exchange rate. I keep hearing how all those decent paying, family supporting manufacturing jobs up here are all gonna migrate down south. Gee wiz, they've been saying that for 20 years now. Seems China has been taking most of the southern low - semiskilled work. We up north have been seeing a steady rise in decent paying non union jobs. To the point that there are even concerns of labor shortages in many skilled trades. Seems this is the place to be. That would explain why so many southern manufacturing communities have such brutally high unemployment rates.

Default New hires?

Any new hires thru employment plus for tmmms? I did my day in testing dec. 20. Was called back same day for day 2 work simulation for dec 26. Completed that and got a call saying I passed day 1 and day 2. I went to employment plus January 8th for my interview and filled out a bunch of paperwork. Next day I went for my physical, drug screen and functional test. I know it's only been little over a week but does anyone know when they will start hiring new people? Or have went thru all this around same time as me? Thanks.

My son went yesterday for his interview at Employment Plus and didn't bring his high school diploma with him so they told him they would call to reschedule his interview. Does anyone know if that will hurt his chances since he has made it this far? Surely they will call and reschedule.

I got the call for an interview and had to wait a week to get my diploma. Graduated out of state so had it mailed to me. As soon as I got my diploma called employment plus and got interview with no problems. Not really an interview just a bunch of paperwork, video, and another computer test which is simple. Took about 2 hrs. Next day I did my physical, drug tests, and functional test in blue springs. Then took 3 weeks to get a hire date. So 5 weeks after drug test and physical I start working. So he will be fine it's just a slow process. So best advice is be patient waiting on a hire date

Thank you for your response. I finally found his diploma. He called back to reschedule and goes this Thursday for "interview". So hopefully in the next month he will have a job.

Toyota Why would use Someone to Promote Job Seekers for the Plant.. ???? Or Win Job Center.. Icc/ for what ever Reason ...I really wanted to Smack him.. First of all he had a Attitude it seem like. And did not Smile at all.....OF all the People that need a Job you Think they would put more Professional People at the Training Center....

Well from what I can see is that the hiring process has changed and different for everyone. I took the day 1 test weds, july 24th and the called the same day after saying i passed and to come the next day july 25th for the work simulator. My question is what are my chances of getting the job and about when could i expect to here back from them? Is it a good idea to give them a call and ask?
