Wink Physical to go!

Hey everyone, just got a call tonight for a contingent offer. Didn't expect a call on a Sunday but she obviously has so many people to contact that I guess it's necessary. Here's my break down:

Day 1- Mid Oct.
Day 2- Nov. 15th
Interview- Dec 8th
Offer- Jan 9th
Physical- ?

Start Date-Feb. 14th

I was also told traveling for training would most likely happen but not set in stone. She said the first 3 or 4 weeks would be here, then about 3 weeks in Georgetown, then back to MS for 1 week, then off to Canada for 1 week. She was not allowed to tell me what department I am starting in until after my physical but from the way it's been going on here, I'm guessing Quality. I do know it is for team member not leader. $15/hr and for every 1,040 "regular" hours there will be a raise of about 50 cents. Also there is a premium for when we are doing the night shift but she wasn't sure how much. You CANNOT miss any time for 6 months. After your 6 months the amount of time you get for vacation etc. will depend on your start date and on your 1 yr anniversary you will start with 64hrs. OT will be scheduled after our shift and weekends. They provide our uniforms and cover our travel expenses. I think that's all. If I remember more later I will post. Enjoy the snow (I'm from Illinois so this is like "flurries" to me)

For those that have already been offered a position....Does anyone know what we are going to be doing between training and the start of production? I forgot to ask when she called tonight. Surely they wouldn't send us off for training and then have us wait weeks without pay until startup...Or would they?

Stay encouraged, they will call when you least expect it. They called me @ almost 8 o'clock @ night.
Thanks....my start date is the 31st but I took my physical on the 28th and haven't heard anything yet the nurse said everything was good but still a little on edge ya know. I figure the training will take a while im sure they want you to know everything on the line before start date

So happy for you ltlbet, I know you will do great! Please do let us know how things go and where they are sending you. Are you supposed to have your own transportation there? Are they flying you? or what? I know you said they would be paying expenses, hotel and per diem I would guess. Happy Tuesday!!!
