APMM is doing phone interviews. I know someone who was called on friday for their phone interview which took 30 minutes. There is a list of Toyota suppliers that is given to anyone who gets the rejection letter. You have to apply through WIN.

They are referring to the fact that we have to hike nearly a mile every morning and afternoon from the parking lot into the building and out due to the fact that we can't use the main entrance because the contractors have so much equipment in the way and haven't gotten the lines installed we have to walk around to the back of the building to enter and then follow taped off walkways to go back to the front of the building that we passed just after coming through the turnstiles at the parking area. It's a lot of unnecessary walking that takes up at least 30 minutes of YOUR time each day. We have complained about it but it doesn't do any good. That's what walk, walk, walk means...........

You might think its alot of "unnecessary walking", but thats Toyota's slick way of getting its new employees in shape. Working on the assembly line will consist of constant walking and movement. Toyota knows exactly what their doing. You'll realize soon after the line starts up in October that many of your complaints and concerns will go unanswered. "Walk, walk, walk will soon be your way of life. Good Luck.

I actually kinda think it's a good idea. Not necessarily cutting into my own time, but I do need SOMEthing to get me walking and moving! LOL!!

Sorry to hear the news! Were your references contacted within the six month period at all? I interviewed in mid-April and still have not heard anything back yet, either way. My references have not been called yet so I have a feeling that I will be in the same situation as you? Do you know of anyone that has been hired without their references being contacted?
