There is a community called Diamondhead located at mile 16 0f I-10 (US 49 is mile 34). Diamondhead is a residential community of nearly 10,000, has 5 pools, tennis courts, volleyball, youth activities, clubhouse, two golf courses and security. When you come in July, check it out.

Thank you.

Hi, I've lived here on the gulf coast for fourty three
years now. Gulfport is really just one of cities on the
gulf coast. If you don't know the boundries,
you would not know when you left one and entered
the next one. Since katrina, Gulfport has grown in leaps and bounds. Subdivions are popping up,most above I-10. There's new business building all up and down hwy
49. The main builing going on the beach is condos. You will find most of the people here are warm and friendly.
The weather is hot in the summer, with afternoon showers. The winters are warm, we have a few cold days,
but only light freezes which disappear when the sun comes up. The fall and spring are full of warm days and cool nights. Also alot of rain. The worst thing is dodging
tropical storms, and hurricanes. But you stock up on water, food, battries, etc.
Well I hope I answered some of your questions. Good day, Madelyn
