and if you really did sincerely read and study the bible you would find out that homosexuality is a sin in both the old and new testaments.but your owns words in this posting state that you are not really interested in finding the truth because you are fixed on the position that homosexuality is not a sin.
it is not hate to take a stand for the truth and the bible is the only standard of truth.
after all, the religious people and the masses falsely accused jesus during his trial before his passover sacrifice as the passover lamb who takes away the sins of the world.
we people who stand on biblical principles are called every name in the book["closed minded, right wing, religious zealots] by people like you who so we are in very good company.
jesus reminded us that the world hated him before it hated us.
May god bless you and have a very nice day.

First of all, enough of this 'everybody who doesn't think like me is a liberal' baloney... you're just upset because people aren't scared to call BS on all your blather, and it's easier to call somebody a liberal than to grow a pair and engage in an actual debate

1) There are a lot of good people who live in this country who are Christians, and to my knowledge, they don't spend their waking hours on chat forums, trying to couch outright brain-dead ignorance in Bible teachings

2) Repeat after me...just because YOU believe in something, and think it's right, doesn't mean EVERYONE ELSE does, or has to...I'm sorry, but you and your intolerant peers don't make the rules, so you can sit there in Mississippi and threaten to take your ball and go home all you want, because the world will still turn and not give a flying flip if you're upset...

3) To any Mississippians who might read this, please understand---this is NOT a knock against your beautiful state...this is 2010, and I for one do not have time to buy into all that 'Mississippi Burning' malarkey, nor do I have time for those who wish it was still in place---grow up and realize that a lot of your fellow citizens don't want to be identified with that mindset either...

4) Last time I looked, God was EVERYBODY'S God, and not just the property of a bunch of angry folk pining for the good old days...and America hasn't gone anywhere, as far as I'm concerned, so just table all that woofing about 'taking the country back', because it hasn't gone anywhere---YOU just whine because things aren't being done YOUR way...

5) And finally, to stay somewhat on topic, sorry for your luck, but I stand with those who believe those 2 young ladies had a right to attend the prom---oh wait, I forgot!...not gonna BE a prom because the school board's collective spinal cords took on the consistency of egg noodles and canceled it...people in Mississippi (and the rest of the US) have a right to live, love, worship, etc as they please, and they shouldn't have to listen to the spoiled-brat whining of a few folk trying to tell everybody else what to do...

Maybe I went a little overboard with my thoughts, and if I offended anyone, then I apologize for offense was not my intent...I know I may not have a dog in the fight, being a non-resident, but I have absolutely NO patience with people who can't stand it when somebody wants to go outside THEIR set of rules...
