Oh, also---Flint Creek is a really fun, inexpensive day for the family as well. They have a water slide and the beach area is nice.

Canoeing and tubing on the river-Okatoma and Black Creek-Hattiesburg Zoo-hiking in DeSoto National Forest-
touring the Stennis Space Center-Paul B. Johnson State Park-Lauren Rogers Art Museum in Laurel-Woods Gallery on USM campus-visit the restored Hotel Alice in Ellisville and have lunch there--
in Picayune there is the Crosby Arboretum-
in Carriere there is the Cottage Garden and Cafe Cottage Garden & Cafe- Slidell, LA
(I would call first to check on opening.)
If you are going down HWY 59 past Picayune get off the interstate and go to Paul's Pastry Shop!

You can go swimming at the Biloxi Natatorium, 1384 Father Ryan Ave.

There will be free medical screenings held at the Coast Wide Health Fair on September 15 at Edgewater Mall, 9am-4pm. Dental, mammograms, cholesterol, blood pressure and blood sugar, flu shots, HIV/STD testing, and more will be available. There will also be a gospel performance.

For anyone who may be in need of transportation in the event of another hurricane, here are the numbers to call. Hancock County residents call 466-8330, 466-8200 or 463-1035. Harrison County residents call 896-8080 (Spanish language available). Jackson County residents call 1-866-477-7099. There will be accomodations provided for pets, as well.

Memorial Hospital is offering free prostate cancer screenings on Sep 19-20. You must call to register, 865-3611.

You can visit the Hattiesburg Zoo, $2 per adult and $1 per child.

Lynn Meadows Discovery Center is indeed doing free Friday nights.

Tupelo has something to offer for all ages and children are no exception! The young, or the young at heart, can enjoy a wide range of activities from outdoor parks to cultural experiences at one of our many museums.
