Hi. I am coming to visit Montana again next week. I am so excited. Love Montana. We are spending a few days in Missoula and then a few days in the Flathead Lake area. Going back to the airport through Glacier.

We need suggestions for what to do in Missoula and the Lake area. Do you have favorite hikes, restaurants, art galleries, musical performances, or anything of interest? We will be in the area from 7/8 - 7/14.

Thanks!

Go on a fishing trip with "Shorty" out of Bigfork.
I don't think you have to pay unless you catch fish and this is what they pull out of Flathead Lake.

Another Idea would be to take a drive all the way past hungry Horse Reservoir and go check out Meadow Creek Gorge. This is the view down from the pack bridge.

When you're in Missoula, check out the book Day Hikes Around Missoula (you can get it at the Book Exchange and also sold in many hotels). Lots of good suggestions in there. I personally recommend the Blue Mountain area for views of Missoula and surrounding mountains, and Rattlesnake for a mellower creekside stroll. If you have the time and inclination, swing down to Hamilton and check out Blodgett Canyon. It's a nice drive, but the road is under construction so it's currently kind of a drag.

Have fun on your trip! As for restaurants in Missoula, you could check out Taco Sano for great inexpensive burritos and tacos and The Shack for breakfast. The wildflowers up at Blue Mountain are amazing right now, especially the lupines. Our wet weather has been kind to the flora.
