We are looking to relocate to Idaho or Montana. We are interested in the Alberton/Missoula area. Can anyone share about that area? And medical
services near there? Thanks.

That is a beautiful area and the medical field is booming. They have St. Patrick's hospital which they just added on to (can't remember the details--just google it) and they have Community Medical Center as well. The area is definitely growing.

Good luck!

Alberton is just a tiny community on the interstate and it's not close enough to Missoula that would make you think of them as adjoining communities. I've always liked Missoula but I can't imagine what you'd do in Alberton unless you already had something set up like a mechanic or school teacher. It's quite small but it is a nice area. I really like Coeur d'Alene, Idaho as well as Boise. It's scenic and has a strong economy. Boise is really the only fairly large city besides Spokane in this part of the country and it's been growing very steadily for some time and has attracted new corporations and major businesses to the area. I guess it depends on what you do for a living and what you're really looking for. There's desireable cities in both states.

Idaho is getting awfully crowded, you might enjoy the serene atmosphere of Montana better.

Try Flathead county, smaller than Missoula but growing, 2 fantastic medical centers and some of the best neurologists and bone docs I have seen in quite some time, not to mention a premier ski resort and Glacier Park.

Geeze, joejoe why did you have to tell me about that paper? Too much info! I think I'm going to go wash out my eyes . If that paper is an indication of how missoula is going I think I will quit driving there. Boy it looks like a real left wing rag for sure. The only thing missining from the front page was some kind of "I hate Bush/Cheney" banner.

The Missoula Indepedent is "the local left wing rag" as you would say. It does not fairly represent Missoula and their agenda is nearly as transparent as Joe's.
