aHHH, Now all of you are just killin me out here,,, Here I have another 8 years to work and all the good looking property back there is bought from Forum Folks........... Those are truly all dream properties for me... And Jammer your Cali house is pretty darn nice, Up in NorCAl we have much smaller yards, my back yard is 30x90 that's feet not acres and my little shack is only 1100sq ft. But I just payed off the mortgage so I'll be in good shape real soon...
Keep the pics coming, I'm getting home sick for Mo. and I don't even live there.....
Hey everyone, what's the rules for horses??? We have a couple of horses to bring with us....
Still Stuck in CAli the BassMan
six hours a week of yard work at this place, 1/2 acre lot with close to three billion trees, plants and hedges that needed constant trimming We had some idiot two doors up from us chase his wife (she was such a sweetheart lady) out into the street and shot her dead. My wife used to play bunco with her and all of the ladies in the neighborhood and after this terrible incident she was done with this house.
Boy DaJammer you had really nice houses! What cities were they both in? Big houses in both places huh?! I think you said you were in San Bernadino somewhere.

Yikes! No San Berdoo for me! The house above is in the northeast corner of Moreno Valley, and the one I posted prior is on the east end of Hemet. I seemed to like the east ends of towns in so CA Inland Empire as they always were quieter and away from all of the hustle and bustle of the main part of the city. The home above we bought for $232,000 (six years old at the time, 2800 sq ft) and the one in Hemet (brand new, 2900 sq ft) was $181,000 so we aren't talking real big money. I just really like to take good care of my homes
Ok this isn't Missouri but I had to show you where I am living at the moment. I live on Oak Island,NC and it isn't as beautiful as Missouri but it is pretty here...
Like I said it isn't Missouri!
Okay, I think I responded to your beautiful home earlier but I had to mention how much I love the red with white trim! We had a garage built after buying our property and when asked the color, barn red with white trim was our choice. We seriously considered painting our house the same color but opted for greens, instead. We have three bench swings at our house and none of them are the style of yours, which I love!

I have to think of where my income comes from. But defiantly our heart strings attached to Mo.
...
FYI - Were looking for a cheap place ... where we can find things to do ........ that are CHEAP as well! I was thinking if finding a air conditioned cabin with 2 + bedrooms .. am searching now . anyone know of any please send me a email. We are going to be arriving Friday night and we dont want to be too far out since we are going to be looking around.
Yep, Ava is really out away from everything so it's hard to say if you can find work. What does your husband do? A call to City Hall or Chamber of Commerce, if they have one, will let you know if there's a need for daycare. If there is, I recommend getting the phone number of the "competition" and ask them what the going rate is, too.

It won't cover all areas but it might be nice to at least look at.
I will have to wait until fall to post some pictures-Carthage can't truly be appreciated until the maple trees are in full color. Mine turns an amazing red-orange and when the sun shines through it my living room has a pink glow!
Hey, firebll! That's not true! In my opinion, Carthage is beautiful anytime! We would have LOVED to have found a place there! Alas, it wasn't meant to be but Carthage still holds a special place in my heart! And it has the best RV park I've ever stayed in, too! We'd love to see your pics...anytime!

All it takes is guts and good credit, my friends!
That is one of the coolest houses ever, Janet! YOU SCORED BIG TIME!!! LUV those windows and that VIEW! Apparently, the builder did too, huh?

Thank you for not getting out the 'wet noodle'. Whew! Yes, I STILL have to remind myself that this isn't a dream anymore. Everytime I look at pictures of it I have to remind myself it's ours...well, in 7 days it is. I'm glad you like it too. Thank you for sharing my dream with me....but next time...get your own pillow!!! As for the party...I'll submit my request to the VP in charge of Entertainment and see what he says.
As far as the mower goes...do you really think the salesmen are just trying to get us to spend more than we need to?" We've gone to about 5 different places, and they've all said the same thing basically, which is: If you have to mow over 3 Acres, it's best to get a mower rated for 'Heavy Residential/Commercial' use. Actually, maybe that question is best left for a different thread?
Anyhoo, thank you for being such a BRIGHT light in my day!!!
Kareybear, that's just more abuse than anyone should have to tolerate!!! I agree, you need to come to MO and join the 'cool' crowd. You are a CA Girl, after all. I'll be praying that you find a mover & rental. Let me know if I can be of any help...feel free to PM if you want.
Talk to Ya'll Later,
Boof
You are too funny, Boof! I'm honored and I guess I should simply say, "You're welcome!"
By the way, you are going to have to explain that funny name of yours, one of these days!
As for your...er...our...dream, have pillow, will travel!
On the lawnmower, yes, I agree that it would make a great thread. I really am not a "woman in the know" on that topic so forget all that other stuff I said...I didn't know what I was talking about! hahaha!

You are so right about doing what's best for you and your children/grandchildren, 2b! Holding onto the past is not the goal...preparing for your future is!

Welcome, citybythebay! You've probably been here a lot but you're new to me! We're sorry you had to go bye bye but happy for you since you live by the bay!
Those are beautiful pictures of Meramec Spring! We drove through St. James and thought it was a cute town and beautiful area! We love the rolling hills of the Ozarks, too! While out with a realtor, we visited Hodgson Mill down by Gainesville somewhere in Ozark County. Here are a few pictures I took of that one:
Hooray! I finally figured out how to make my pictures a decent size!
Anyway, thanks for sharing your thoughts and pics!
And now, it's time to get to bed! Whew! This is a busy little forum, isn't it? I sure am enjoying it and all of you!
MRS. G AWESOME pictures. Absolutely Amazing and so beautiful and looks very peaceful. Thank You again for sharing.

Mrs.G I am glad that you like my red house with white trimming but I have to tell you I had no choice because my house is made of red brick. Actually the whole house is build with cindar block and decorate on the outside with red brick but the back of my house was an add on. It looks like it used to be an enclosed back patio but they covered it up to add more room which was done by the original owners. Oh by the way the swing came with the house.

Mrs. G Loved the pictures ..Is that the old Mill that was for sale? About 3 years ago we had a book that had a old mill in it for sale at the time it was used for bottle water I think ...

My son and dil w/ soon to be 3 children will be moving as well.......... We are hoping to help them out so they will go back to college .........at least 1 of them! .. dil would not go for a remote area .... but dont want to be close like in an apartment like she is now ..they hate living in an apartment!
my son and hubby hunt so .. hunting land is important as well............see why its hard to find a place we can all agree on? .. land / house / not to far from city / oh then I have house stipulations .. Hey 2beamissourian! Don't you think your husband might make friends with other hunters! You might not need a second place. Just a suggestions.
Damn a demanding family-I am think someone in the family isn't going to be happy. But then again someone is going have to budge. I am thinking once the kids see how beautiful the place. They ain't going anywhere.
NO I wont live in a 1970 trailer with 50 acres and 5 ponds! sorry! You have been talking to BOOF to much! I don't blame you about 1970 trailer though. That might be a good hunting place but I could go for the 50 acres and 5 ponds. Then on one of the ponds I would have my husband build a big platform out in the middle and put a diving board and a slide on. That would be so much fun and use the other ponds to go fishing. Hum um Yummy fresh fish! were is the LEMON and the wasabi....
