Hey boof! I found those deep fried broccoli's and Cauli's at Sizzler! Yumm Yumm.
I know you all have had a deep fried turky Right. Every Thanksgiving we head out to the dessert with our turkey. We inject it with a creole butter marinade and deep fry it in peanut oil. I was not a Turkey fan till I tried that. Oh my Goodness! When we come out will have a big turkey at the Aversa place.

Just remember Boof. When you use that deep fryer to deep fry a turkey. Peanut oil is a must!!! Not just for flavor but for safety. It has a lower flashpoint (is that the right word?) then other oils. In other words you wont burn your patio are garage down. Also make sure you dry out that bird extremely well before setting it in oil. You may or may not know those things but just in case. You hear of so many house fires due to people not knowing these two things. Any way if you do try it you'll probably never go back tp traditional turkey again. SOOOO GOOD!!

Another deep-fried turkey hint: Be sure to inject that bird with Cajun butter or another injectable butter. Deee-lish. And read the instructions-put the bird in, fill with water to desired level, remove the bird and measure how much water you used. That's how much oil it will need. Lots of people cause fires by filling the fryer with oil, then adding the bird and overflowing the oil into the burner. Get ready for the cost though, fryer oil is not cheap! But it's my favorite way to cook turkey now.

Yeah man! Inject that bird till he looks like he's on steroids! all overly buff.
The oil is about $30 for a 3 gallon jug here anyway.

Found another spot...
Hey Boof...we were in Joplin today and stopped at Red, White, and Blues on the main drag (Range Line Road?) and they have fried dillies. A little heavy on the cornmeal based coating for my taste, but good nonetheless. BBQ wasn't bad either. It's right across the street from Lowes.

Here's a new one!
Last year we went to The Fire Ant Festival in Marshall, TX., where my Dad lives and we had deep fried chocolate chip cookie dough
They just made little 1" balls and dropped 'em in the fryer. He said the trick is to use HALF as much sugar in the cookie recipe.
But, then you had the option to roll them in confectioners sugar and/ or dip them in chocolate to make up for the loss of calories!!

Wow, that's awesome, Mrs. C, I think we're just gonna have to make it a plan to take a trip to Joplin.....we could use a little bit of a distraction, and what better way than to have Fried Dillies.

Our Sonic has had them before. I just make them from scratch along with frying just about everything else I can get my hands on!
