Hello da jammer. Boof told me that she would be out of commission for a few days. She closed on her house and was in the process of moving in and getting her internet and utilities set up. I will be doing the same in about a week and a half. My husband and I are moving to the same town as Boof. We are excited to finally be able to meet her in person!

How cool is that...the same city huh? My memory stinks but is it Marshfield? Well it's always nice to have an friend in town just as soon as you move in. It took us over a month to get the cable company out to hook up our internet service so I know how that goes. If you have a direct connection to the Boof clan please tell em "YO" from the MO folks for us

Hey, da jammer! You're absolutely right! It IS Marshfield!

I've been in touch with Boof, too. She has had some internet problems and I think they're fixed but she still doesn't have much time to get online. We all know how that is. I think she wants to wait until she has time to keep up with the posts. She and her husband are taking care of things together like buying those things that come up like mattresses and a ceiling fan, which was on their list for today. She said they bought a riding lawnmower for her husband the other day and he was enjoying that.

I asked her the other day if her ears were itching because she was the subject of a thread in an effort to find out where she was. She said, "I can't believe I'm actually missed. Little 'ol me??? How nice."

She is going through withdrawals and she wants to come back but since she has barely had any time to get online, she asked me to let you know what was going on. She said she'd get too long-winded! Hahaha! I got all caught up on genealogy research and didn't realize how late it had gotten!

I'll pass on your "'YO' from the MO folks"! I know it will make her day!

Yep, Marshfield it is. My husband and our kids will be starting our venture out to Missouri next Wednesday. We are so excited and can't wait to get there. Boof has been busy and I will be doing the same next week. It is pretty cool having a friend like Boof already there. She has given me some good advice about places to call for utilities and vehicle inspections, etc. I hope she is able to get back online soon!

C, thanks for helpin' me out buy givin' the gang the shcoop! It's nice to have back up when one is 'out of commission'. As I write this, you are less than a week from hittin' the road! Yeah!!!!! I can't wait for you to get here. We'll finally get to meet, and we won't be all alone in this Booming Metropolis of 5k people. hehehehehehe You are a dear friend, and I'll be prayin' that your drive back here is swift & smooth.

It's friends like you that make this place the awesome place it is!!! It was nice having contact with someone from CD so I could maintain contact...even if in an indirect way. To you all....Thank you all for thinkin' 'bout little 'ol me. It's been crazy busy around here! I've STILL got a bazillion boxes to unpack, and I have NO clue as to where I'm gonna put all this garbage...errr....stuff. LOL Well, I like to refer to some of it as my 'Treasures'....DH would prefer to call it Garage Sale crap. LOLOLOL Men!

2b, no place to hang the hat yet, but it sits on top of the cabinet very well, I must say. LOL We've been doin' alot of runnin' around. ALOT of runnin' around. We had our 65 VW Bug in storage in Republic and had to get that towed out to the house yesterday. The Fuel Pump went out on it. Hubby's got another one on order. That was an all day ordeal...well, it wouldn't have been if hubby hadn't forgotten the keys to the storage unit. We got have way there and had to turn around and go back, get the keys and turn around and go again. LOL

Then, we had a MAJOR, LIFE THREATENING debacle (sp?) with the internet/satellite dish! Yep, the 'ol Boofster thought she might have to do some damage to the Dish installer if he didn't get her TV & Internet workin'!!! Boy, he came reeeeeeal close to needin' some serious first aid. LOLOLOLOL hehehehehehe Nah, actually, the Internet & Satellite both need to be plugged into the phone line, and apparently, the signal from the Dish was keeping the internet from workin'. I was FREAKIN' out!!! Lucky for HIM we found a temporary 'work around' that we can live with until we figure out what needs to be done to get it right. Therefore, he gets to live too. Whew!!! (Actually, he's a really nice guy...treatin' us good)

After that disaster was averted, we had to get a dryer, a lawn tractor, (Which DH LOVES), Food!, Ceiling Fan, (Which we STILL haven't gotten, and my Hot Flashes are ready to cause a 3 alarm FIRE!!!!) LOL We also had to get a phone, get estimates on some repairs we need, and....the list goes on. I was able to get on today by stealing away some time while my husband wasn't looking. hehehehehe Actually, he doesn't care, but I just don't want him having to do all the work.

While it is all so overwhelming at first, it's getting better, and we are absolutely lovin' our new home. It's everything we could have ever dreamed of, and we feel very blessed to be able to call this little piece of heaven on earth, ours. Now look what I've done.....I done got long winded, again, and should skeedaddle. (sp?) I've still got a ton of stuff to do.

You all take care, and hold the fort down till I can come back. I'm hoping I'll be able to pop in every once in a while till things get more settled. Until then...know that I miss you all, and appreciate your kindness & thoughtfulness. You don't know what it's meant to me, knowing I have friends here. ***BIG HUGS*** Feel to send a PM ifins' ya'ant. I'm able to sqeeze in quick notes from time to time. TTFN.

OMG Boof .. we have been looking at VW - my dd wants one and has decided she will drive if it a small car just like a small old vw ..lol When dh and I were dating he had an old VW Baja... and I learned how to work on it really fast umm lets just say it broke down on me more times than he knows!
we were just looking at a 67 vw that is hot pink ... yes hot pink thats what she wants to but my dh can paint it for her ... hot pink with a lime green race stripe! teens! lol

Im glad you made it in .. the house will start having the HOME of Home feels soon!
gosh every time someone post that they are in there new home i kinda feel .. sort home sick! lol Holding my britches and telling myself soon soon it will happen!
