Missouri dang there is so much.Yes the Cardinals with my Kids and Grandkids. Now Springfield has their own team.
The rivers ever set along the Big Muddy a think of days gone by.Or spend a night checking Lines and then there is Gigging on the clearer rivers in the South when its so cold out any fool should be inside.
The Lakes yes even Party Cove and the Big Boats on Lake of the Ozarks. But Big Cats below Truman.Or the fight of the record Musky of Pomme de Terre.Stockton Bass and Crappie. But then we have the Trout of Taneycomo.
The sawmills cutting the White Oak from the surrounding Timber. The sounds and smells, but maybe your more for the sounds and smells of Wheat Harvest, the smell of the grain and sounds of the Combines.Riding in an open Jeep in Summer,to see the Lighting Bugs and smell fresh mowed Hay.
Yea we like to party at the river on Saturday night, but then we will be at Church Sunday and after Church go to the same river to watch your Baby Sister be Baptized.
But yes the cities nothing like St.Louis at night or even Kansas City and to watch them wake up in the mornings with all the hussel and bussel.
Branson ah the lights and all the shows, nothing like going to Shepard of the Hills and reliving the History of the area.
Me in my little part of the state. You wake up and go outside hear the horses of the Mennonites starting their day.The Gobble of the Turkeys, the neighbors Cows bawling to be fed.You go to our little Town,go to the Bulk Store the smell of spices hit you soon as you enter the door.Go down the road the Vegatable Stand has just open for the Year. You can get starts for your Garden at his Greenhouse. Then go to the Bakery,oh don't get me in there I'm trying to lose weight.
It seems that I'm closer to my Lord here.He came to me and told me of a Death to come, tried comforting me.I mentioned this to my wife that morning, she had no idea what it meant.I remember it so well it was the day I heard the first Whip Poor Will of the Spring,it was so nice out.About 9AM my Son called told me our Granddaughter had just quit breathing and she had went to be with our Hevenly Father

But he has showed me Heaven here, especially in the Fall all the Golden Leaves gets me thinking of the streets of Gold. The Winter with all the pure White Snow and the stillness nothing so quiet. Then go out at night look up at the Heavens just seems like there is no more room for another star.
I have been all over the U.S. I have lived in a few other states but none are home.Yes I Love my Missouri.
