What's the problem? Don't you ManySoda'ins have gills?

Of course, MN is a gorgeous state too.. but too cold in the winter

Actually, on many days it's more humid in Sacto than it is here, and we have rain!

Extremely humid once in a while......this summer I don't think we had many humid days. Normally I tell people August is the worst, but we had the coldest August on record! I would have gladly traded a day or two of the cool weather & rain for a humid, hot summer sizzler...

At last a gorgeous sunny week. In November! Who'da thunk it.

I'm about 2 hours out of Sac in the Sierra's just on the edge where the pines transition to sagebrush and the Nevada desert scape. Very little humidity here.

I've never experienced the kind of humidity on the west coast that I did on the rare occasion in Missouri. There were a few days I found the air uncomfortably thick to breathe but most were pleasant.

I lived quite a few years in Oregon before moving down here to N. Ca. initially and it was quite an adjustment on my skin. It's been off and on 20 years here for me now and I still can't find an appreciation for the dry air.

We were here in early August house hunting and moved here mid-September. While we had a few humid days it wasn't unbearable by any means. Now that we're settled-in, on really sticky days we can simply hunker-down indoors and sit them out in air conditioned comfort.

Yet another upside of being retired.

My dad is retired and living here in Ca. He has an RV and rents a space for it. He's thinking of buying some land around here. He almost did in fact but decided to wait till next summer.

I really wish I could get him out to Mo. and talked into moving there. He could buy a decent house for what land costs here. He likes to fish and just visit with neighbors and I think he'd like it. But the topic of tornado's in the midwest turns him off the thought. I'm still working on it though

Keep working on it. Where we are there hasn't been a tornado touch-down closer than about 20 miles since they started tracking them. Tornados don't seem to like water! And the fishing is excellent!

And what about you?
