Yep looks like the grumpmuffin ole maxine had this morning was well past the expiration date! When I see someone make a post like that I check some of their other posts and invariably where ever they have been or where ever they are sux for one reason or another. For some folks it's just best to ask the "show me state" where the exit sign is...

Grumpmuffin!
Love that term grumpmuffin.
I can't imagine there being very many nosy people in MO. I have only been in MO since the end of March but I have met nothing but friendly, helpful people. I Love MO and everything it has to offer. Shadowcaver's post said it best. I even cut and pasted it as a document in my computer so I could go back and read it anytime I want too without searching through all the posts.

Yep...ol jammer's one of the things I most recently LOVE about Missouri!
I also LOVE watching stressed-out-lookin-over-they-shoulder-lockin-the-car-door-in-they-driveway Cali folks slowly calm down & relax after they get to some wonderful green corner of the heartland.
I cried for two weeks when I got here...release of tension doncha know.

...and doors left unlocked...
...and criminals who get caught and punished...
...and folks bringin banana bread to the door to say welcome...
...it was an amazing transition from Sac to small town MO...

What I love after 3 months
Well, my view of "MO" is centered between Springfield and Branson, but I can tell you what I like so far:
It's GREEN in the spring & summer.....we moved to Las Vegas from the San Fransisco Bay Area and the land was a dull sand color.. This area full of rolling hills literally COVERED with trees.
The Lakes and creeks...many of them. Lots of places to take a lazy day canoe trip or cruise the lake (when we get a boat). Blue lakes with meandering shorelines.
The surprises. The area is made up of lots of little villages & towns. One is always amazed by the little treasures tucked away in some of the little villages.
The friendly people (yes...there are also nosey people...everywhere). Everyone is helpful, quick to give assistance if you need it, and willing to take the time to talk to you without a cell phone stuck in their ear.
I haven't had the experience with leaving the doors unlocked however...we were here a couple of weeks when someone tried to pry our back door open (luckily our evil looking dog took care of that one).
The ability to live in the country without selling your arm and legs to do so. The cost of housing here (remember I'm from Cal) is still pretty affordable.
We have almost an acre and it's a little bit of heaven from living in the city.
The wildlife in the backyard every morning, the fireflies at night, the warm steamy evenings, and the magnificant thunderstorms are all part of the magic.

You struck a cord with that one! We have seen some of the most incredible skies in Mo. Hearing thunder on the mountaintop from a few ridges away. watching a front move in that stretched across the entire sky...people pulling over and taking pictures of it. Even the local police standing in a parking lot next to his cruiser looking skyward...clear blue sky on one side and a dark foreboding cloud mass looking like an unrolling carpet just coming overhead bathing us all in dark gloom...Whew! What a sight! The air seemed to tingle with electricity! A brief downpour and all was calm again...the earth reborn with a fresh smell...Priceless!
